On Sunday December 5, 2010, December 12, 2010 Create Abundance 2020 Business Community will be sponsoring a feeding and nourishing program in cooperation with a foundation in Parañaque.

Through the coaches and core team members of CA2020, the foundation sent us a request to be their partner for their feeding programs. They want us to join them in their efforts toward the betterment of people’s lives.

There will be around 500 kids to be fed ranging from 4-5 years of age.

The foundation has arranged to be the one to provide for the utilities to cook the food that will be supplemented with NOURISH THE CHILDREN specially formulated food supplement for malnourished children ~ the VITAMEAL

VITAMEAL provides:

* A balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fiber

* Essential fatty acids required for normal brain development, skin health, and immune defense

* Electrolytes necessary for maintaining normal fluid balance and muscle function

* 25 essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A for normal sight and immune functions, as well as nutrients for normal growth and skeletal development.

Some Facts About Malnutrition

Q: How severe is the malnutrition problem in the world?

A: According to UNICEF, ”Every day, on average more than 26,000 children under the age of five die around the world, mostly from preventable causes…In up to half of under-five deaths an underlying cause is under-nutrition, which deprives a young child’s body and mind of the nutrients needed for growth and development.” (State of the World’s Children 2008) If only a small percentage of the population was willing to contribute two meals per day, millions of lives could be saved.

As part of the continuous humanitarian efforts of Create Abundance 2020 Business Community, we are actively looking for donations and sponsors of Vitameal that will  be given to the children in the feeding event and future nourish the children program of CA2020.

One Vitameal costs 1,600 pesos. Each VitaMeal package contains 30 child-sized meals, or enough food to provide a child with one nutritious meal each day for a month.
