Bakit Mayaman Ka Na Ba?

When I was still employed, I always get this response whenever I invite from the people close to me at work to our Wealth Course seminars.

Bakit mayaman ka na ba? (Why are you rich already?)

Bakit yumaman ka na ba dyan? (Why did you become rich from that?)

E di mayaman ka na nyan? (You are already rich then?)

Wag mo kami kakalimutan pag mayaman ka na ha? (Don't forget about us when you become rich, ha?)

The pattern of their response clearly states the kind of mindset that they have - a poor mindset rooted on scarcity.

If those persons are excellent receivers, they would have realized that the learning chance I'm inviting them could be the single opportunity that can make them rich in mindset (and in wallet).

Since their mindset is based on scarcity, they deliberately looked at it as something of a waste of time, a waste of energy and waste of money. So they would rather focused on the carrots (salary/benefits) being wagged in front of them.

Someone with an abundant mindset would dwell on the perspective that this is a chance for them to grow, to learn, to gain something of value.

And because they resist learning new lessons and values for personal growth, aren't they as good as dead people walking this planet?

My Response

I'm not yet rich but I am going there because I have a millionaire mind. Because true wealth is not entirely measured on the amount of money that you have but by the value you add to other people's lives.

They may have thousands o even millions of pesos (waiting in retirement pay) in their possession but where is the joy when only the individual gets to benefit from it? That's being selfish to its finest. That's scarcity

They may have a high paying job, but it's ironic that they complain about working overtime everyday and sometimes they bring home work until the wee hours of the morning. That's playing the victim role instead of being proactive and take action towards self fulfillment.

My prayer for them is to wake up someday to realize that the power to control their lives is in their hands, not from their employers.

There Is A Choice

Do you often wonder, why is it you're working hard in your job, yet it looks like you're not getting the break or promotion you think you deserve?

Every morning does it feel like just another same old day?

You wake up, you take a bath, you get yourself to work, and then, 8+ hours of boredom follows.
Fact is, you're not a Robot.
You're a Human Being designed to live a life.
If you spend more than 40 hours a week for a job then you're up for several years of working-living this way, until the day you retire!

Nothing will change, unless you do something about it.

What can you do about it?
The good news is, you can do something about it. There is a Choice!

There is an alternative other than just being an employee working for somebody else, building another person's dream.

But only for those who "choose" to SEE it.

Why The Poor are Poor?

Note: Welcome to 22 Blogs to Freedom series I will do for the next 22 days. It will end on March 5, 2010. Jervis ^.^v
________

Have you ever wondered why there are people who are rich while you’re not?

Or…

Have you ever ask yourself why is it that you are poor?

The answer lies on the pattern of behaviour between these two. In short, they have different mindsets that are worlds apart!

Let me highlight a couple of things to prove my point.

Poor people are poor because of a lot of things. They see things only as they are. They don’t go outside of their confine boxes. They don’t take action. They love to procrastinate and do other things, things that make them poorer everyday.

Example.

A poor person will remain poor if he continues to believe that working for employment is the way to financial success.

The only reason they know why they are working is to have a salary in exchange for their ‘time’ and ‘service’. To have a salary means to have something to pay for their expenses. They are working to have money to pay for the food they eat, the clothes they wear, the utilities, etc.
They see things only as they are. They don’t go outside of their confine boxes. They don’t take action. They love to procrastinate and do other things, things that make them poorer everyday.
Since the time they spend to work for a job is limited, the salary is also limited. If a poor person tries to extend this limitation (i.e. overtime work, working on a saturday or a sunday) they get stressed out, physically, mentally and sometimes spiritually.

They lose time with their family. They become robots.

They get sick, too. When they do, they will face a mountain of medical expenses which the company they’re employed wouldn’t pay 100%.

At the end of the day, they remain poor because their salary is limited in accordance to the amount of what they can do in a day.

Why the poor are poor is because their mindset are positioned in a way that they don’t even know or realize that they are being limited.

The secret of the Rich I will discuss tomorrow, so watch out!

Reasons Why You Should Get Financial Education

You may ask, "why get financially educated?" Here are ten reasons why...

1. Get out of the 'Rat Race'
For the average Filipino, length of formal schooling averages about 16 years. Starting from the age of 6, and finishing college at 21 years old. The usual path for a graduate of academic education is into the harsh world of employment-- also known as 'rat race'.
Rat race is like a never ending journey to NOTHING!
Wikipedia defines the term, 'an endless, self-defeating or pointless pursuit.' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat_race
A rat racer's world lives from paycheck to paycheck, work an average of 9 hours daily, taking orders from someone else. He/she then gets paid on the hour. For some, saturdays and sundays are working days too. They usually work to pay the countless bills coming in without accomplishing anything... just like a rat race.

With financial education, it will help you understand the process of getting out of rat race, and into the fast track where rich people play the money game to win.

2. Job security

Just how secure is your job, really? 2008 will be best remembered as the year when crisis on credit shook the US and the rest of the world. Tagged as massive financial crisis since the Great Depression of 1930s, the effects span across the globe.
For the Filipinos, the year has shown a series of events with OFW's returning home due to closing of companies and factories.

Locally, we've seen companies do; freeze hiring, job cuts, lay-offs and retrenchments.

Job security is like a maximum prison cell. You are tied to the job. Financial education promotes freedom of choices.

3. Defy the financial crisis, current and coming
Financial education will teach you about the internal economy independent to the shortcomings of the external economy. Having an internal economy will shield you from the mistakes of outside investors.

4. Beat the greatest conspiracy
In his recent book originally released online, Robert Kiyosaki writes about the conspiracy of the rich in our education, banking, etc.

With the right financial education, you can rise above the current economic problems and defy these system-rooted conspiracies, through change of mindset and taking action.

5. Service to others
True service to others entails sacrifice. Being an employee, you get to help yourself only too much. You can't sacrifice your time because if you swap your working hours to help other people, chances are you'll end up needing help too. You can only share a finite amount of your income since you yourself need help when it comes to finances.

Simply put, you can't give what you don't have. And rich people have both the time and money to spend for service to others.

To be continued...
